A distinct identity, built from a simple step.
The studio’s own identity, developed around the approved Step Forward 06 mark and a restrained visual language.
Give the studio a recognisable form.
Give a design-first marketing studio a recognisable identity that can work as a small mark and as the basis of a larger visual system.
The approved Step Forward 06 direction establishes the mark. Paired with clear typography, generous space and a disciplined palette, it gives Aureumgrid a consistent way to identify its work without competing with the content.
- Create a recognisable mark
- Establish a flexible visual language
- Apply the identity to the studio website
Strategy, identity direction and application for Aureumgrid’s own studio.
One silhouette. Two ways to use it.
Step Forward 06 is the approved direction. A stepped outer edge and an open counter make a compact symbol. The same shape sits beside the uppercase Aureumgrid wordmark or stands on its own when the studio name is already present.
The proportions are in the drawing.
The source uses a 96 × 96 viewBox. The visible mark occupies an 80 × 80 square with an 8-unit inset. Its edges follow an 8-unit module; the central counter is 16 × 16. These measurements describe the existing artwork, rather than a new construction rule.

A name, a voice, a reading rhythm.
Hanken Grotesk carries the entire site, from the uppercase wordmark and display headings to longer explanations and interface text. Weight, size and spacing create the hierarchy without switching typefaces.

Ink and paper do most of the work. Sand provides a softer field for the mark, with warm orange and pale lilac used in the identity artwork. Colour supports the composition; recognition still comes from the silhouette and typography.

The system, in context.
The homepage puts the symbol and a typographic composition side by side. The header uses a compact lockup, while the artwork gives the mark room to stand alone. Different scales, with the same source vector and type system.
From a large field to a few pixels.
At small sizes, the stepped outline and central counter need to remain distinct. These specimens render the same vector at 16, 24, 32 and 48 CSS pixels, on both light and dark surfaces. The website uses a 24-pixel mark in its standard lockup.
